There’s a tool for that - Google will help with images. Basically a T handle with a curved lip to pull from bottom of heat shield.

IF no luck with google - contact local auto repair facility - maybe you can borrow one. Spraying WD-40 onto heat shields then turning them back and forth will help loosen. Do not turn more than 1/4 inch each way - - being as careful as you can - plug WIRE damage is likely! Good luck!
