Checked grounds. New crank pos sensor, truck cut off one day. Started back two more same day. Haven't been able to start since then. OBD 2 no communicating with PCM. NEED TO FIND SOURCE OF ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTION.

A simple *DIY TEST* > In a quiet inviorment, turn key on .. Start wiggle testing wiring harness to PCM while listening for relays to start clicking and various other indicators that broken wire or open circuit is the problem .. Also possible ASD relay failure... Wiring failures are common! .. Also, corrosion in and under the fuse/relay box under hood is a good source of these problems! .. (Wiggle test = pulling, twisting or just plain moving wiring harness all about at different places while *listening* for relay clicking or any other conspicuous telltale signs like scanner/code reader now communicates with PCM - then you have found the problem area) .. That's how it's done! .. Happy hunting.
You should first confirm that you are getting a good 5 volt reference to the crank sensor. If you don't have a 5 volt ref signal, then you need to find out if it's another sensor shorted killing the signal, or the PCM. A good test if you are missing the signal, is to disconnect the ckp, cmp, tpm, maf sensors one by one and see if the signal comes back. If you have a 5 volt reference signal and still no start or communication, then you need to check for power and ground to the PCM. Good luck!
Don't know your skill level or tools and equipment arsenal but if the easy, DIY testing suggested doesn't help then you'll need a good repair manual or for a small fee www.aldatadiy.com for a diagnostic flow chart, wiring schematic and pin out identifier... Of course you can always opt to have a pro take care of it! .. Good luck!
