Hello, I’m Pete from the Car Genius team at RepairPal. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this concern on your Dodge Nitro. The lightning bolt is usually an indication that the computer system has detected an issue with one of the throttle components. Throttle body failure and gas pedal failure being the most common. Anytime your throttle body is replaced it has to be calibrated so the computer knows pretty much the end stops of it. Without this calibration being performed your vehicle may still act the same even though you may have resolved the concern. The calibration usually requires the use of a high end scan tool/computer that most shops use with it being plugged into your vehicle. If the calibration has not been performed this will need to be done. It is also a good idea since this warning light is on to have the fault codes checked using the scan tool as there should be at least one code stored for this concern that will help with diagnosing and pinpointing the cause.
