Not enough power

Hi - I am Dave, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. The battery needs to be tested to ensure it is fully charged and able to accept a charge, and sustain a load. If you verify the battery passes those tests and parameters, then you can check the voltage and amperage output of the alternator at 2,000 RPM of engine speed. If voltage is below 13.8 or 13.9 and amperage is single digits or maybe like 20 - then you have an alternator issue. But you must make sure your battery is solid first. Even a replacement alternator you just installed can have a charging isssue.
