Car drove fine last time it was driven. And then it didn't move the first time we turned it on. It is hard to move the shifter back to park, but the car never actually "shifts" out of park. What may be wrong with it?

When it was driven last, the transmission shifted through all the gears smoothly? Did it go into reverse and drive smoothly?
This could be a few different issues, shift interlock, shifter assembly, shift cable (if it has one), internal transmission issue, etc. Feel free to call me (Scott) Schaumburg Automedics 503 Lunt.
