Its maybe every other time I start it up get to driving and its not the lightening bolt red icon its circle red it flashes and makes a sound like someone needs to buckle up seat belt chime that's the sound and it last a while I'm thinking something happening then it goes away
What makes this problem better or worse?
It only does when engine cold after that stops
How long has your 2008 Dodge Nitro had this problem?

Hi, this is Dusty, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! That's annoying, but more importantly, is the safety aspect of this concern. Most likely the culprit is one of the seat belt buckle switches, which could have a piece of debris stuck in it or an intermittent electrical issue, that's causing the indicator to come on so often.
