my heat doesnt work in my car will it mess up my engine,, and how much will it cost to fix.

If it's leaking, you can overheat your engine if you don't fill up the coolant regularly. If it's plugged, you should be OK. What is wrong with it? Are you sure it is bad? The estimate to replace the heater core can be found here: https://repairpal.com/estimator/dodge/neon
