What is your question?
Headlights will not work. Fuse is fine. Told by repair shop that I need new wiring harness and multifunction switch. Smelled some burning smell driving the other day. Had new steering column installed a month ago. Is this all related? How much should wiring harness and multifunction switch cost with labor? Should I have the new steering column checked at the same time? Thanks in advance for your help. JAC

The wiring harness and multifunction switch are dealer only items (perhaps the switch is available aftermarket) so you will have to call the dealer to get the price of those parts. If the steering column was only recently replaced I wonder if wires got "pinched" during the installation of the steering column that has resulted in the problem you have now. Often when you problems with a car it is best to start your diagnostic routine by looking at what was last done to the car. If the wiring harness is extremely expensive you may be able to get it from a wrecking yard but make sure the harness is from a vehicle that is the exact year and same equipment level as your car as subtle differences would negate the cost savings if the harness needs to be modified. There are several websites that search all wrecking yards in the country for parts, you post your add and wrecking yards email you. The service is free.
