Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. The front and rear suspension of the vehicle are equipped with struts. Replacement of shock absorbers - no matter what type - is based on condition, not mileage. It is true that as the miles get high...I would say 70,000 miles plus... shock absorbers don't do their jobs as well. It's worth looking into as a "performance upgrade" even if they are not leaking. Best oil to use - any synthetic blend or synthetic 5W30 oil. The serpentine belt is not the same as the timing belt. Both should be replaced at a reasonable mileage, at the same time - right around 100,000 miles.
