Car has 177 thousand miles. Check engine light came on put code reader on and it gave error P0304 Misfire Cylinder #4. We replaced spark plugs and wires. Took for test drive and car still misfiring and engine started smoking and a really bad smell emmitting into car but check engine light not on or throwing any codes. It is running worse since I replaced plugs and wires. We rechecked the gaps in plugs but still misfiring. I have recently had to add brake fluid 2 times because it was low. Which I have not had to do in the past. The vibration at idle has progressively gotten worse over time. The engine hasn’t died yet as of rough idle.
