What is your question?
I need to replace a bent manual window regulator in a 99 Neon (2 door, front driver side). I can only find power window regulators (without the motor). They seem to be basically the same part, only the motorless power window regulator doesn't have the shaft that connects to the manual window crank. So my question is, can I just take that piece off my old regulator and attach it to the power regulator?

Hello, it'd be worth a shot. I don't know. There's not any guidance for such a repair procedure. Is there any way to straighten the bent one? Also - check eBay - you may find a part you need there, or a salvage yard that can do a national search.
Thanks for the reply. My first step was to try to straighten the bent one. It seemed like it might work, then immediately bent out of shape and dropped the glass again after a few cranks. I suspect this has been done several times before. I've been pretty constantly monitoring ebay and several scrapyards and other websites. It seems this is either one of the most rare parts in the known universe, or it's the exact same part as the powered version, but with the motor removed. I guess I'll just have to buy one and find out. Thanks again!
