Draining Gas Tank

Siphon, although not done right can be awful nasty tasting. Or get a hand or power siphon pump but make sure it is rated for gasoline.

This is a dangerous procedure if you don't know what you are doing! Make sure the area is well ventilated and make sure you cause no sparks. I personally know someone who died from burns by not using proper procedures. 1. Remove fuel filler cap. 2. Perform the Fuel System Pressure Release procedure. 3. Disconnect negative cable from battery. 4. Raise vehicle on hoist. 5. Remove quick connect cap from drain port. The drain port is located on rear top of fuel tank. Push a siphon hose into the drain port 6. Drain fuel tank into holding tank or a properly labeled Gasoline safety container.
