What is your question?
My Dodge Magnum keeps shutting off after idling with AC on and over 85 degrees outside, but only after driving for a few miles. After four years of this, and with my lifetime bumper to bumper warranty, my dealership is more likely to NOT be able to “witness the problem” (I’ve had it there for over a month at a time several times, as In at least 5 times it has been there at least one month, several one and two weeks stays, and the problem just keeps coming back, but nowadays here are my takeaways. Through the winter, it never shuts off. As far as previous “remedies”, the crank position sensor was replaced fall of 2020, which coincided with a mysterious and out of the blue rear main seal failure. Ive replaced the PCV, which looked pretty oily but passed the shake test, the EGR, which also looked clean but revealed a nasty intake manifold inside surface, There a lot to this story They just replaced the MAF sensor, which seemed to work for about a week or ten days. Tonight suck
What makes this problem better or worse?
Heat and elevation. 10+minutes of idling with AC in hot weather then a few miles later it shuts off, especially when driving over bridges.
How long has your 2006 Dodge Magnum had this problem?
Since fall of 2017, then much worse spring of 2018

Such an intermittently occurring concern is really difficult to deal with, I can understand. When I think of hotter temperatures, I start thinking of "vapor lock" scenarios, or fuel related issues. Consider the clues here -- does the vehicle restart when it stalls? Heat and elevation -- fuel trim and fuel air ratio issues -- I'm surprised a bit no one has monitored fuel trims or checked base fuel pressure and bleed down? What about the evaporative emissions system -- is there a ventilation issue? My best suggestion is to leave the vehicle with the serving dealership when you know it will be hot. At that point, leave it for a week or two until they drive it daily and duplicate the concern. It might be inconvenient but so has then last few years been! Good luck.
