wen this occurs, is there still good battery power wen u turn key over and wat does it not engage starter, or does engine crank but not start? and if it doesnt crank but has b+ power wen turning key, try to put trans in neutral gear and try to re-start? let me no
When I try to restart there is nothing won't turn over but sometimes my daughter would disconnect the battery and wait a couple min. hook it back up and it starts. but not all the time. And have tried it in neutral and still nothing.Have a new key, ignition and a control module but that was no help Iwsas told could be my engine harness
possibly anti-theft issue, the pcm holds secret key information for ign module for security issues, but reference voltage on pcm side has to stay withn spec 4.5-5 volts at all times, voltage spikes that occur regulary can cause pcm to overload which will cause internal failure, pcm is getting hot and cant discipate heat transfer fast enuff for capicitors, id replace pcm, them saying to replace engine harness w/out good explnation sounds odd and not thorough diagnosis
Thank you for responding I had the iignition replaced and a new key they also replaced the WCM a module thought that was problem but next day still doing same thing. Which crysler are you with? If you think you can fix it I'm interested in talking with you I'm in oceanside If not than I can pass the infor you gave to the next mechanic i can find
I sent you a reply did you get it. I couldn't find here.If not let me know Your reply makes alot more sense than the eng harness. Iwill let you know how it turns out. Thank you for your help.

I will keep you posted on this so if someone else has this kind of problem you would have an answer right away. I took it in to a mechanic shop and they had it fixed and up and running and it was the same thing you had said. Thank you for taking the time and helping me out.
