What causes the car not to stay charged after starting?

What is your question?

Have anyone started your car and will crank up but will stop. Will start several times before it turns over. Sometimes stop running while driving. Lights, radio locks etc. still works just failed to start

I HAVE BEEN HAVEING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 2005 DODGE MAGNUM IF ANYONE HAS A GOOD ANSWER PLEASE HELP. AS I HAVE TAKEN IT TO DEALERS AND SHOPS AND NO ONE HAS AN ANSWER.

I have a dodge magnum 06 2.7 cylinder. I've been having the same problem. I was just told I need to replace the alternator.
