Dodge Magnum ABS Module Replacement

My vehicle was in an accident that destroyed the ABS module. The collision repair shop put in a used ABS module and took to the dealership to rewire; however, the dealership is stating that since the ABS module has to be VIN matched, the car will be driveable but AWD, Traction control, etc. will not function correctly. Is this true or can the vehicle be fixed?
