Hi this is Dusty, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Hey there! It sounds like you're dealing with quite the ordeal with your Dodge Journey. Overheating issues can be a real headache, especially when it seems like you've tried everything to fix it. And truth be told, any car can run into issues under certain circumstances. Since you've already had several attempts at fixing the problem with no luck, it's understandable that you're feeling frustrated. Under these circumstances you've had multiple repairs attempted without success, it might be time to get a second opinion. When it comes to overheating, there can be several potential causes, from something as simple as a faulty thermostat, cooling fans not working, or a leak in the cooling system. Which if left unaddressed, can lead to more serious issues like a blown head gasket. A blown head gasket will cause all sorts of problems, including overheating, loss of power, and even engine damage if left unchecked. A second opinion by a competent professional will be able to provide fresh insights or uncover something that was missed before, or worst-case scenario they confirm the situation. Hang in there, and hopefully, you'll have your Journey back on the road running smoothly soon! Let me know if you have any other questions or need further assistance or would like to help with finding a RepairPal Certified shop in your area for that second opinion, give us a call! 877-913-1554
