Hello, Being a 2017 year model, keep your documentation. You could have gotten a bad battery, but if the issue pops up again, think lemon law.
To supplement what Casey said -- hound your dealer to make this right for you! On the other hand: do you ever use vehicle accessories without the engine running? In my current experience, folks tend to listen to their audio units or use Bluetooth or other vehicle lighting and accessories when parked and the engine shut off. This can be done for short periods of times, but the amount of electronics that are active in today's vehicles with the key on and the engine off are far more significant than 20 years ago. Couple that scenario with short trips taken -- 0-5 miles starting and stopping and the engine never sustaining 2,000 RPM and up -- and you get a situation where the battery is getting consistently drained and not recharged at all or to it's full potential. I would say that more than 50% of the time when I encounter a starting problem on a vehicle with a battery less than 2 years old that it is often habits more than the car or battery itself. This isn't to be critical of you or any other driver, but -- it's important to consider all possibilities when trying to resolve any problem. Good luck!
