Why are all my warning signals coming on.while driving?

I was planning a short trip out of town and checked the brake fluid, transmission and the oil and put additive in gas tank. started engine next morning to leave on trip , let it run to warm up, began to drive away and all the warning lights came on. I got out and raised the hood.....the transmission stick was not completely engaged was the only thing I saw amiss

What makes this problem better or worse?

Start engine up and began driving.
