Hello, what did the dealership do prior to you getting it back? Is this problem new since getting the vehicle back? It does seem like there is a problem with the evaporative emissions system - the job of which is to fully prevent fuel vapors from getting into the atmosphere. Typically, the fuel cap indicator message and check engine light comes on when there is a leak from the evaporative emissions system. But, in this case, it sounds as if there is a restriction somewhere - preventing proper venting of the fuel tank. Either way, hands on testing of the system is needed to figure out what is going on.
