Not much information provided, possibilities are fuel filters and or fuel pump, partially plugged catalytic converter, Oxygen sensor failures. I had a similar problem with my transmission last summer on my 04 Intrepid. If it locks into second gear when it does this (you'll hear the RPMs shoot way up if you try to accelerate), Have the mechanic look at your solenoid package in the transmission. Relatively cheap fix ($600).
