Transmission fluid change

Your 62TE trans can be serviced; however, there is no dipstick. A special tool is required to check the level. The manufacturer's service schedule calls for service at 120k miles. This is a job for a professional. I must warn you though: a transmission fluid service rarely helps problems such a shudder. In fact, sometimes service can accelerate internal transmission issues.
