How do I fix gate open warning that won't go off on my 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan?

I've had this recent problem with my 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. My dash says "gate" all the time when the vehicle is on. With the headlights on the dome lights will not go off unless I turn all the dash lights all the way down. Ultimately, this makes it hard to read the dimly lit speedometer. What should I do?
