what is the normal operating temperature on my 2012 grand caravan?

Remember your running coolant through a pressurized system. water boils @ 212F.(yes , I know you know that , just using it as a reference) Coolant does not. Pressurizing the system also raises the boiling point.Unless you're running your A/C , your rad. cooling fans won't normally come on 'til 215F , but when they come on , if all is functioning properly , coolant goes in the rad. at 215 and a few seconds later it's coming out at 175-180F. Is the 210F you mentioned using an infra-red thermometer or the guage on the dash? The dash guage can vary somewhat in its accuracy.

Most cars cooling systems are running in that range at 200- 210 nowdays. The engines are designed to run higher temps for fuel emmisions and fuel mileage concerns. Check with your Dodge dealer to be sure.
