Code P0888 won't come out of second gear

P0888 Relay output always off, this is not that easy to find, The transmission control relay is fused protected, so the fuse would have to be checked , listed as fuse 15 which is a 20 amp fuse located in the engine fuse / relay the ground , that should have power and the relay should have power as well as ground, the ground signal would come from 2 different area, one being the TCM (transmission control module) the other is the transmission solenoid. When ever I see this code I have not seen a transmission stuck in second gear, this suspects that the transmission control solenoid may be the source of problem
