Autozone have some popular workshop manuals for free on line once you register (for free) on their website http://bit.ly/autozone_repair_info. and get an online repair manual subscription. There is a company that independent auto repair shops "buy" their information from that the same information inexpensively to do it yourselfers. The information is year make and model specific repair procedures, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... dont have a picture but real easy. the big wire is from the battery. it must have at least 12 volts. the little wire is from the ignition switch and should have 12 volts with the key in the crank position only. if your powers are ok, try tapping the starter with a hammer. if that works, the starter must be replaced. The large gauge RED wire goes directly from the battery to the Starter Motor. You have a smaller gauge BROWN wire from the starter relay in the PDC (located under the hood) to the starter solenoid. Power to the coil side of the relay is supplied from the transmission control system and grounds through the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), This energized the solenoid when conditions are met and power flows from the ignition switch 12Ga Red wire, through the energized relay contacts to the starter solenoid via 12 ga Brown wire. Transmission control system can be Neutral Safety Switch or Transmission Range Sensor, depending on transmission.
