Hi, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Great question. A burnt smell from the vents is definitely something worth taking seriously! On your 2015 Dodge Durango a burnt smell with no airflow at all from the vents points strongly toward a failing or seized blower motor, which is the component responsible for pushing air through the vents. When a blower motor starts to fail it can produce a burnt smell from the electrical windings overheating, and if it has seized completely it would explain why you're getting no airflow at all. A burnt or failing blower motor resistor is another possibility and is actually a very common issue on this generation Durango. I’d recommend having this looked at soon, as a seized blower motor left running can potentially cause additional electrical damage or even become a fire hazard. A qualified shop will be able to easily diagnose and resolve this.
