I have had the AC checked and there are no leaks. In addition the refrigerant level is at the correct level.
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, If there are no leaks, and the refrigerant is at the right level, the next thing to check is that the compressor is energized when you turn on the A/C. Make sure you hear it come on, see it come on, and notice the engine drops in RPM followed by immediate recovery to at/above idle. If it does not turn on, time to check your fuses and A/C compressor relay.
