Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Durango. If the key isn't the issue and you're experiencing a no-crank, no-start condition, the problem could stem from the ignition switch, the starter relay, or a fault in the vehicle's anti-theft system. A faulty ignition switch may not send the necessary signal to the starter motor. Since the locksmith ruled out the key, it's worth verifying that the anti-theft module isn't locking out the system. Sometimes, disconnecting the battery for a few minutes can reset the system, but this is only a temporary fix if the issue persists. Also, check the battery and connections for proper voltage and cleanliness, as a weak or dead battery can mimic these symptoms. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
