Years ago I remember there being an issue with the micro switch in the driver door the is connected driver door key lock. It's designed to get input from the key and lock or unlock the door. They short out from water that gets into the door. Does this seem to get worse if the car has been wet? Remove the door panel and disconnect the micro switch. If it stops then I'd just replace that switch with an updated part.
