This happens all the time now what can it be? The code I saw on the dash was bu 5

Hello, The code is actually "BUS", and it is the reason you are stalling. You likely have an issue with the powertrain control module (PCM), or the PCM is receiving power intermittently. It is saying BUS because it cannot communicate with the PCM. You will want to have this error straightened out by a professional, otherwise you may end up throwing parts at the vehicle at a loss, and to no avail. Something you can do is make sure your battery and PCM connections are proper and free of contamination. Check your BUS bar as well. It is where the batter positive cable runs to, generally underneath the underhood fuse panel. If there is water corrosion, etc, you likely have a bad seal on the windshield allowing water to drip down into the power distribution box. This is common. Unfortunately and ultimately, you will likely end up seeing a professional on this one.
