High rmps when taking off and drops when off the gas then jerks when on the gas why?

Hello, did the problems start after the exhaust work was performed, or was it going on before that? Also, have the diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's) that were set causing the check engine light to turn on been read? If the problem only started after the exhaust work, then it could be that something was tampered with accidentally, such as a wire connector or wiring harness to the transmission. Or, maybe something related to a speed sensor has been disturbed.
