99 Durango won't start, please help!

Crank over the engine until you hear the pump prime the fuel rail, press the Shreader valve on the fuel rail to verify that fuel is present in the rail (preferably use a pressure gauge and verify fuel pressure). I have had problems with several Durango ECUs. Get a friend to crank over the engine as you strike the ECU, if the engine starts the ECU most likely has a bad soldered joint or circuit board. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... If you have no spark, the next thing to check is if you have injector pulse, this will tell you if there is a bad input causing the no start condition. I had the same problem. It happened out of the blue. So I did a little research and found out that the crack shaft position sensor will cause this. I replaced that sensor and its running just fine.
