What is your question?
I have a 2011 dodge Dakota v6 crew cab I have replace the power steering pump and reservoir twice in the last 4 months. The last reservoir didn’t even last for 2 miles. The first pump was repaired by a mechanic while under warranty and the second was pulled by a complete different mechanic so it can’t be the mechanic. When the reservoirs where pulled on both occasions the part looks like it’s all chewed up. Right at the part where the fluid flows in from the reservoir to the pump. Causes all the fluid to leak out at that point. ( I have photos but know where to post on here) What would be cause the damage at the point. There is no moving part to case the plastic to be eat up like that. Could it be melting for some reason. Like I said the pump and reservoir have been brand new both times. I am baffled at this point can you help

Not working at all

The mechanics you are utilizing don't have any suggestion? They are the ones looking at the vehicle and have "hands on" for your concerns -- that's the best possible resource unless they are not duly experienced or knowledgeable. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops I can't personally imagine anything that could "chew up" the reservoir. I'd suggest checking into heat sources near the components and verifying proper parts are being used for your application. These concerns do not sound like anything I'm familiar with. Good luck!
