Ac compressor doesn't engage and 4x4 light in dash is on but 4x4 doesn't work

The air conditioning compressor and the four-wheel-drive system do not tend to share common components. The air conditioning system may be failing for a number of reasons. It could be low on refrigerant, it could have a coil or clutch issue, it could have a cycle switch issue, it could have a condenser issue or condenser fan. Too many "guesses" to know. Hands on testing is needed. The four-wheel-drive system could have a transfer case issue or an electric motor if it is automatic electric shift.
