Problem shifting down from 3rd to 2nd, there is a hi speed chatter that happens. Manually shifting to 2nd, then back to drive corrects the problem, this is not a constant problem and happens maybe 15% of the time. Vehicle operating at normal temperature.
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, Very interesting. I'm curious if you have a bad o-ring on the 2/4 accumulator. It is a guess, and you need diagnostic work, but if there is a bad o-ring, pressure could be bleeding off and preventing solid contact for the clutch packs. Again, it needs diagnosis to find the cause, but this is a possibility.
