Want to buy a 02 dodge Dakota SLT 4x4 V8 4.7 liter but the owner told me it needs Oil sending sensor changed. I need information on where its located? What tools will i need? And is it easy to change?

Hello, The oil sending unit is located on the engine, and it would be best to find an image of the sensor on the vehicle, as explaining the location will just cause confusion. The sensor is not difficult to change, but there is a chance the gauge needs to be changed, or that the oil pressure is low. Have an ASE technician complete a pre-purchase inspection, and get some documentation concerning the issue so you don't have to rely on someone who is selling you something. http://repairpal.com/dodge-within-10-miles-of-chicago-illinois-60638
Next to the oil filter. Here's a photo & video. http://i.fixya.net/uploads/images/michael_cass_85.jpg http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=2002+dodge+dakota+oil+pressure+sending+unit&&view=detail&mid=B2A5BB1185A22291A568B2A5BB1185A22291A568&FORM=VRDGAR
