Durning cold weather the power steering pump whines

What is your question?

I replaced the pump with rebuilt pump replaced the rack and pinion with a rebuilt rack. Replaced the high pressure line. The vechile has 96,000 miles. It has warmed up weather wise and the whining noise has got better.

ahhhh, the joy of rebuilt parts! ask you parts supplier to warranty the pump. next time, add an inexpensive inline filter for the p/s fluid to catch debris from the old worn-out pump.
