What is your question?
1999 dodge dakota v6; miles unknown, but it is a farm/ work truck; so i imagine the miles are high. the problem buddy is having is that the power steering fluid resevoir will not stay full in the power steering reservoir, and leaks out as fast as he puts it in, and as a result now he has overheated the engine and anti freeze has boiled out the last time he has used the truck.

I don't see the correlation between the power steering fluid leaking out and the engine overheating unless the P/S fluid is getting on the fan/water pump belt so that the it slips and the fan and water pump don't turn. Sounds like you have multiple problems that are likely not related. Are all of the drive belts in place and tight? Does the fan/water pump pulley and the power steering pump pulley turn easily? If the belts are all good to go and the pulleys turn freely then you should look for a leak in the cooling system as well as the power steering system, ie the hoses, the pumps, the radiator, radiator cap, etc. Can you see where the coolant is going when the engine is overheating? Is it from the radiator cap or a hose or from the radiator itself. It could even be coming from a freeze plug on the side of the engine. If you can check these things you can start to diagnose the problem. If you are not comfortable with the task I suggest you find a friendly neighbor farmer that knows engines and have them take a look or take the truck to your local mechanic to be checked before the engine is destroyed it it isn't already. Good Luck!
