If the Overdrive Off indicator is illuminated regardless of toggling the switch, it's clear that there is a problem detected by the appropriate processors controlling electronic transmission operation. Diagnostic testing with a diagnostic tool capable of reading trouble codes for the transmission as well as monitoring component operation is needed.
