What is your question?
Recently my trans temp had been much colder and had been taking a lot longer to get up to the ideal temperature. Its not a sensor since i can tell the difference in shifts from when it says my trans is at the right temp versus when its not. There is no gear slipping or anything like that just sluggish shifts when its cold. I also noticed that it seems the trans temp is low when im idled but theirs no leaking at all. It only has 86000 miles and im just wondering how bad the issue really is from topping off the trans fluid to flushing to possible trans failure. Also, it might be good to mention that the guy before me who owned it had the car sonce 2017 and had it as his summer car and still had the manufacturer battery in the car when i bought it so there is a chance that the trans fluid needs to be serviced.
How long has your 2017 Dodge Charger had this problem?
A few days

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Most modern vehicles have thermostats located in the valve body of an automatic transmission. This allows proper warm up and cooling of the transmission. If the thermostat is stuck open, I suppose the transmission may not immediately "warm up" - but I would caution you from thinking there's a concern here. Sluggish shifting can be from lack of servicing or an internal fluid leak. Hands on testing is needed to sort out what is happening and provide a resolution -- https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link to find some shops near you who can help out!
