2016 dodge charger overheated and then shut down. Coolant appears to be coming from behind the engine. Heater isn't working either. Reservoir is holding coolant until the engine comes on and then the coolant spills out from behind the block.
What makes this problem better or worse?

If coolant is pouring out from behind the engine and the heater isn’t working, it might be a heater core hose or the hose fittings at the firewall. Worse case? You could be looking at a bad intake manifold gasket or a freeze plug issue, which can also cause coolant to leak at the back of the engine. With overheating and heater problems, you don’t want to risk a cracked head or a blown gasket, so get a chem test performed to check for exhaust gases in the coolant passages.
