What is your question?
I don’t hear any strange noises or see any leaks car drive normal takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes for trans temp to start getting high but 30 seconds after I started car water pump area was to hot to touch car hadn’t been run in 24hrs around that time. Car is a 5.7 hemi. Shop said coolant was flowing properly. Radiator fan comes on and sometimes turns off and the air the fan blow feels hot. Hoses look normal no leaks, I changed thermostat, ac condenser, and a lower radiator support was installed because radiator was pushed forward on driver side. I’m suspecting water pump or head gaskets but car has no white smoke or steam. I recently started smelling coolant while driving inside and outside. Coolant disappeared but is normal now. I stop driving the car for month and a half until I let the shop diagnose it. I’m currently still driving the car I don’t let trans temp get over 230. I’m not going to stop driving car until I figure out what’s the problem it has 113,000 miles
What makes this problem better or worse?
Trans temp stays normal on highway but city driving brings temp up.

Hello, are you getting some sort of indication that there is a problem occurring? 230 degrees doesn't get me that excited... It could be in the realm of normal depending on specifications. Sure, other symptoms like coolant odor does get my attention. And yes, if the problem is more "city" than highway driving, it would seem to be air flow related. So, make sure you have clear air flow through the radiator and that the cooling fan is operating as designed. It could operate -- but it might not operate at the right fan speed or for the needed duration. So I would look at this. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554. We'll gladly find you a certified RepairPal shop in your area.
