actually on new style hemi's, ur camshafts have built in phasers bolted on camshafts themselves now,oil pressure and spring tension from phasers retards or advances engine timing thru hall effect sensors which is constantly, monitored by pcm and mds if equipped therefore eliminating external cam sensor
