passenger window won't go down but you can still hear the motor working. fix?

Does the window go up? If so the clamp that holds the window to the cradle that moves up and down is broke probably. If it does not go down but when the motor is down and you can move it with your hands down then its off the cradle. it should go up as the cradle will push it up. If it does either it could be the spindle that pulls the cradle up and down as come off. these are a sod to put back on but can be done.
