What's wrong with the factory installed Media Center CD/DVD/MP3?

I have the factory installed CD/DVD/GPS system with controls on the steering wheel. Recently, the power to the in-dash screen started to turn off and on randomly. When the screen is not lit, I can still turn the power on to listen the radio but cannot change the station using either the in-dash controls nor the controls on the steering wheel. The in-dash controls for volume and sound still work with the screen off. Although not too knowledgeable about cars, I checked all fuses and found all were fine.
