The car seems to have low power intermittently.

It means that the transmission control module is seeing 3v or less on the power supply to the transmission control solenoid assembly right after a key cycle (start-up). There has to be power supplied to the transmission for the control module to turn the solenoids on and off and make it shift gears. This same circuit is commanded off in the event that a fault occurs inside the transmission in order to get limp in mode. Your going to want to have this diagnosed by a transmission shop that either has an electronics specialist, or at a driveability electronics shop since there are three computers involved. (PCM, TCM, TIPM)
