Tail light turn signal dim and does not work with lights on.

The right directional blinks fast but only light up very dim, when you turn on the lights it don't work at all. Bulbs are good. I was told I need a new light assembly $50.

The problem with your light could be a wiring problem or a problem with the light assembly or socket. The only way to know for sure would be to test the electrical system. Normally this would take around a 1/2 hour of labor.
