Symptom: P1776-SOLENOID SWITCH LATCHED IN L-R POSITION When Monitored and Set Condition: P1776-SOLENOID SWITCH LATCHED IN L-R POSITION When Monitored: Continuously when doing a partial or full EMCC (PEMCC OR FEMCC). Set Condition: If the transmission senses the L-R pressure switch closing while performing PEMCC or FEMCC. The code will be set after two unsuccessful attempts to perform PEMCC or FEMCC. POSSIBLE CAUSES CHECKING SYMPTOMS AND POSSIBLE CAUSES LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE CAUSING SYMPTOM TRANSMISSION PAN HAS EXCESS DEBRIS DEBRIS IN PAN CAUSED VALVE BODY DAMAGE INTERMITTENT CODE P1776 remember, the code number never identifies a bad part, just a failed system. it sounds like you will need the trans rebuilt. but what does PEMCC or FEMCC MEAN..IVE GOTTEN P1700 TWICE,AND THEN P1776,AFTER I CHANGED TRANSMISSION SOLENOID..ABOUT TWO DAYS LATER ENGINE LIGHT TURNS BACK ON...
not sure but the solenoid is not the issue. it is most likely internal as debris from whatever failed has contaminated the valve body. Roy
thx for the help..ima check into it..
