once again, a parts guy pulling codes, bad idea. could be a simple repair. take it to a shop and get a proper diag with a bid from someone who knows what they are talking about.many issues with wiring harness problems nder the battery. dont throw any parts at it till the shop is sure of your problem. Also beware of the scanner the part store uses. Auto zones scanner told me I had an out of range reader from the swirl control solenoid sensor bank 2. It turns out this code is for a Nissan with a variable valve timing V-6. I have a Toyota 4cyl. (no bank 2). And then like mastertech said parts counter dude making diagnosis based on a code that may or may not even be correct.
